The ROUNDTOP mesh panel is built on two tubes plus a bottom rail, so it survives handling and repositioning better than a panel with an open-bottomed frame.

The 3500 × 2000 mm panel weighs 12–14 kg. The frame is 38 mm in diameter, the bottom tube 25–38 mm, and the infill is 2.2–3.2 mm wire spot-welded with additional reinforcement at the corners. The bottom tube closes the panel's perimeter — it provides the torsional stiffness that open-bottom panels lack.

Why a closed perimeter matters

Temporary fencing is usually destroyed in transport and handling rather than on site. A panel lifted by one corner works in torsion and gradually loses its geometry — it stops seating in the feet and no longer holds a straight line. A closed frame with a bottom tube and reinforced corners slows that down noticeably.

  • fencing moved between sites
  • hire fleets with high turnover
  • fences repositioned with the working front
  • uneven ground where the panel works in torsion

The rounded top

The oval top edge leaves no exposed wire ends, which matters wherever the fence meets a footway. On urban enclosures, beside pavements and at building entrances, that is an argument about public safety as much as appearance.

The roundtop variant is heavier than ECO and STANDARD — on large orders it is worth allowing for the weight difference across a full set of panels when planning transport.
