Mesh panel ECO

The ECO mesh panel is the lightest temporary fence in our catalogue and the simplest way to enclose a construction site when speed of installation and ease of handling are what matter.

The panel measures 3500 × 2000 mm and weighs 10.1 kg, so two workers can set out several dozen metres of fencing in an hour without lifting equipment. The structure is a steel frame built from a 38 mm vertical profile and a 25 mm horizontal profile, filled with mesh of 2.2–3.2 mm wire, spot-welded or fully welded.

When the ECO variant is the right choice

ECO works where the fence has to mark a boundary and stop casual entry rather than defeat a determined intruder. That covers housing plots, façade refurbishment, the back-of-house area on a road contract, or a storage yard fenced off for a few weeks.

Where the site needs genuine resistance to forcing, move up to the panel with a crossbar or to the ANTICLIMB variant with its dense mesh. For fencing that gets repositioned every few days, the stiffer frame of the ROUNDTOP variant pays for itself.

Finish and corrosion resistance

The panel is galvanised, so it stays outdoors for the whole project without painting or maintenance. The zinc coating also protects the welds — the points where temporary fencing corrodes first. Once dismantled, panels go straight onto the next contract, and in hire fleets that reusability is what decides how long a set stays in service.

Installation and matching components

Panels stand in 24 or 32 kg concrete feet, or in lighter PVC feet, and adjoining panels are joined with clamps. On longer runs and exposed ground add raking stays pinned to the ground; without them an open-mesh fence blows over in a strong wind, especially once debris netting or sheeting is hung on it.
