The NEOS PVC barrier is the basic warning barrier with a single horizontal band of red-and-white reflective film, 15 cm high.
At 2000 × 1000 × 50 mm and 10.7 kg, NEOS is SCAVIA without the reflectors on the slats. The same body, the same ballasting, simpler marking — and that is exactly what decides where it is used.
What a single band is enough for
On a straight stretch, on a lit street and where traffic passes square to the barrier, a single band does the whole job. That is the common case in municipal work, footway resurfacing or guarding an open chamber — places where the barrier stands briefly and in predictable conditions.

When to move to full reflectorisation
If the barrier will stand on a bend, on an angled approach or on an unlit stretch, one band stops being enough — the driver only sees it within a narrow range of angles. Then reach for SCAVIA, and for road works of the U-20 type, for TOROS or THOR.
